Natural ways to help manage psoriasis this winter

Psoriasis management over the winter might be challenging. With the cold weather and dry weather, you may find that your symptoms get worse, rather than better.

The good news is that there are plenty of natural remedies out there that can help you manage your psoriasis this winter. A few of my favourites are listed below:

1. Drink warm beverages. Hot tea and coffee are great for keeping you hydrated when the weather is cold, but even more so if you have psoriasis on your skin! Drinking hot drinks can help keep your skin from drying out and cracking, which will reduce the irritation from your symptoms.

2. Eat ginger tea or drink ginger water to help with pain relief and inflammation relief in general! Ginger is a common ingredient in many different soothing products like teas and soups because it has anti-inflammatory properties that can help with pain relief and redness/irritation associated with psoriasis.

3. Rub some tea tree oil onto your skin daily to help treat any irritation or redness caused by dry air conditions or seasonal changes in climate like cold winters.
