Fun fact: Leek was Emperor Nero's favorite vegetable, that he consumed it in soup or oil, and he believed it was beneficial for the quality of his voice.

Leek stalks are widely used in European soups and stews, especially as they complement potatoes and can also cooked as a whole vegetable.

Leeks are a great source of vitamin K.

They are an excellent source of manganese, vitamin B6, copper, iron,
folic acid and vitamin C.

Leeks are also a good source of vitamin A (in shape of carotenoids), dietary fiber, magnesium, vitamin E, calcium and acids omega-3 fats.

Raw leeks can be used in salads, and they work very fine when they are the main ingredient.
