What to Avoid When Deciding on a company Name

When you're thinking about naming your business, there are a few things you should avoid. Here are some of the most common mistakes people make when naming their businesses:

Translating your name into other languages

This is probably the biggest mistake that people make when choosing their company names. It's tempting to think that if you have a great name in one language, it will translate well into other languages. But this isn't always the case! If you're looking for an English-language business name, don't use "Company Name" in Chinese or Japanese; it may not sound as good there.

Using your name as part of your company name

You can use your first and last names as part of your business name, but don't do so if you want to be taken seriously as a professional entrepreneur. Your business has nothing to do with what goes on in your personal life; try to keep them separate.

Mixing up words and letters

Using random letters and words in your company name can make you look unprofessional and unoriginal. This might be okay if all you're doing is making up something cool sounding; but if you want to create an identity for yourself as an entrepreneur avoid this.

This is a very interesting topic to discuss and thank you for bringing this up. Some people are making errors when chosing there company's name. There are things to consider when choosing a name for our company. Once we take things into consideration, then are we going to choose a better name.

Like I was with a guy and he told me the name of his company. But the company name was long. So I asked him that who will have time to pronounce your company's full name. The name is like a sentence having 7 words.

When naming a company, this is not good. The best way to name a company is to make the name short and not more than 2 words and the name must cover the purpose of the company. If we notice the popular companies. We will see that most of them has only a word given to the name of there company.

The naming company must be a shared decision between the founders of this company themselves.

A company name is important to it viewers because it tells them what the company is all about whether it a production company, a public company, private company, or a partnership company. In my locality for example when a company has a name we see at a big and wealthy place.

One thing about business is that we have a target audience and when our company name does not correspond to our target audience or consumers it may be hard for one to recognize what that company is all about and when we talk about target customers it could be product specially made for the male gender or female gender, some times product may be produce for older one so making our naming specific would draw the attention of our target customers.

Another thing most entrepreneur have fail to recognize when it comes to name is the expression of words they used, must times they may create names that makes it hard for one to understand especially elderly ones this may be hard for them to remember if the name is cumbersome or too long.

So when creating a name for our company or firm we need to put the interest of our consumers and customers to heart so as not to suffer lost
