A good employee retention strategy is key to creating a successful business. If you lose good people, you will lose customers. And if you lose customers, you won't be able to make money.

You can't afford to let employees go because they're not performing well or because they're unhappy with their jobs. It doesn't matter when the problem arises; it's important to address it immediately so that it doesn't escalate. A bad employee can become a great one if you handle situations appropriately.

Here are some tips on how to retain your best employees:

Make sure the job is right for them. If an employee isn't happy in his current role and there are other opportunities he would like to take advantage of, don't force him into anything he doesn't want or feel comfortable with. Your goal should be to keep everyone as happy as possible so that they will want to stay with your company for years or even decades instead of leaving after just a few months or years on the job.

Don't give them too much work; give them too little work and risk losing them altogether! You'll need to keep track of what projects are assigned and make sure that each project has enough time allocated for it.

Do the following as well:

1. Give them a sense of purpose

2. Let them know you value their work

3. Give them freedom to make decisions

4. Allow them to be themselves at work

5. Reward their success when appropriate

6. Be honest about what you expect from each employee.

You have actually said it all, how you treat your workers would definitely determine if your workers would want to stay or not, cause the truth of the matter is that you cannot actually force them to stay.the best way to keep a hard working staff that is actually good at what they do is to always appreciate them. It does not mean it has to be through financial means, simple words are more than enough.

The key to retaining your best employees is to treat them like family.

It sounds simple, but it's so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day tasks of running a business that you forget to take the time to show appreciation and gratitude for the hard work of your team.

This is especially important for small businesses that don't have much money or resources to invest in employee development. In these circumstances, it's important for managers to find ways to make sure their employees feel valued and appreciated every day.

Here are some strategies you can use:

Give praise publicly — Praise doesn't just help employees feel appreciated; it also helps build trust. So when you have an employee who's doing something well, take a moment out of your busy schedule (or even better, schedule time specifically for praising) and let them know how much you appreciate what they're doing. If possible, make sure it's in front of other people so others will notice as well! This can help build camaraderie among coworkers and boost morale (and productivity).

Encourage feedback — Encouraging feedback from your team members about their work is another great way to keep everyone on track with each other.

A lot of employers lose people because of pride. Once they employ others, they tend to feel like they have paid for your absolute allegiance and time.

Building good relationships with your staff members is the key to having an excellent team. Even if you feel like some of them don't deserve it, pushing them away will not help you. Treat all equally especially when they are together. Showing favouritism may make some people to work harder, but it can also backfire and make others to do less work.

One thing some employers underestimate is paying salaries on time. People have expenses to take care of. Of they don't have to think of it while at work, they become more efficient. It also helps give you a good reputation and some great workers can leave other companies to come work with you.

One last thing is how you correct wrongs. If you are harsh and unaccepting, it can be off-putting. This does not mean you should allow people to slack and do the wrong thing all the time. Employ tact .

it is good to do things that will help keep workete in your company especially the very talented ones it will help your business or company to grow as well. Workers like to remain in good places of work so you have to do all you can to retain them.

You can show your appreciation for their hard work. this is about giving them frequent thank-you cards or emails that acknowledge the good things they do for your company or customers.

This kind of situation will make them stay in the company You can also send them on breaks from work and to enjoy themselves.
