They don't look for attention or accolades.
In fact, people with high levels of confidence actively seek out occasions to acknowledge the achievements of others. And I've discovered that the more compliments you give out, the more you receive.

They don't make excuses.
The use of excuses is an effort to avoid responsibility and blame. People who are confident accept responsibility and don't worry about taking the fall. They take responsibility for their errors and want respect in turn. They don't use extenuating circumstances or a lack of resources as an excuse for failing to complete a task.

There are not afraid to take a stand
By definition, taking a stand implies you'll stand out, which isn't for everyone. But it is for the incredibly self-assured who understand that sincerity triumphs over acceptance. They don't want certainty; they want results. The self-assured argue that if their stance generates criticism, so be it; it will only benefit everyone.
