When it comes to leadership, the unrealistic expectation is that a business leader should act in control at all times. Even when he or she is struggling, the team should not know. Does it demoralize a team if a business leader shares his struggles with them? I would say No and here are my reasons.
1) It creates a sense of authenticity among team members: When a business leader let's his team members to know about his struggles, it creates a sense of realness among team members. And they would always open heartedly work for a leader who is real with them.
2) It builds trust and open communication: When a business leader shares his vulnerability, the team members can better trust him and openly communicate any challenge they face to him.
