In many developing countries like West Africa to be precise Nigeria a lot of financial finance who earn a living as a result of farming and carrying out other from agricultural practices are being hindered and obstructed as a result of some factor that militates them from maximizing their productivity . in Nigeria 60 to 70% of our labour force is considered to be in agriculture . But yet west African countries like Nigeria cannot meet their domestic food requirement which have in turn lead to the GDP of it region to decline towards contribution of Agriculture outputs. Below are some of the reasons for this low productivity :

INADEQUATE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM : in most countries in West Africa they have been in presence bad roads or total lack of it which have declined production of product to market very difficult and this lead to wastage . Do you have been non-availability of cargos coupled with high cost of transporting this farm produce making it difficult for agricultural to develop .

CRUDE IMPLEMENTS : some farmers in West Africa countries are still in position of using crude implement to carry out farm activities and practices which have limits their potential of maximizing their output this is due to the fact that users could implement requires high rate human labour to function . The use of simple farm tools like cutlass and hoe is considered too low and cultural production . Majority of farmers in West Africa are so poor to the extent that they can't afford to buy modern tools and equipment to improve production .

All the problem that are being faced in agriculture by farmers should be blame on the government because most of these things are things the government should have done to ease and encourage farming activities in the country , but it is so inhuman to find out that the government give deafhear to what they should be concentrating to improve in their own countries .

The high cost of acquiring most of these agricultural tools and equipment is the reason why there is still insufficient agricultural production in most African countries and the worst thing is that the government are not even taking this agricultural farming as their own personal responsibilities if they are not willing to equip private farmers.

Will , upon all the challenges a lot of farmers are facing in Most African country , there are still so many farmers who are still planting and they are still making money with it.

Although a lot of people may not see this to be true but having a farmer in a particular society goes a long way to impact the lives of people living in that society in the science that without farmers we won't be able to enjoy most of the food crops that we enjoy today but yet being a farmer is not just free and smooth because to some extent farmers absolutely faced some problems in their family business . Some of their crops have been attacked by pests and other parasites related diseases that absolutely have the drop drastically will sometimes could be irrecoverable and a repairable .

On the other hand majority of farmers do not have funds to allocate to their farm Business in order to eat the smooth and free flow of the farming business possibly for the purpose of buying fertilizers and other fertilizers related chemicals that could aid the production of crops possibly in large-scale for people in the local market . The government can absolutely help in areas like this but to be sincere in some regions of the world the government have totally no interest about the welfare of farmers despite their importance to the society and to the community which is absolutely very bad and must be changed .
