The aim of this article is to explore the concept of managerial leadership styles. Leadership styles are defined by their dominant approaches to problem-solving, decision making and problem solving. This article will focus on four different leadership styles: autocratic, democratic, charismatic and participative.

The first style is autocratic. The leader makes all decisions and has complete control over the group. He or she maintains discipline over the group by setting clear goals and objectives to be accomplished by the employees. This style is often used by military leaders or in companies where a strong leader is needed to get things done.

The second style is democratic. In this type of leadership, there is a strong sense of teamwork among employees but still with some autonomy for individual employees to work on projects that they feel they can handle well. This type of leadership requires trust between those who are leading it and those who follow it because they must trust one another's ability to do their jobs well and get things done within the scope of their authority as assigned by management.

The third style is charismatic leadership which means that someone has an exceptional ability to inspire people around them through their words or actions toward achieving a goal or purpose for their organization or group such as sports teams or churches for example.

Participative – This style is used when the manager wants to involve employees and give them input into decisions. It does not allow for debate or disagreement from subordinates.
