Managerial abilities of a business owner can also be substituted to that of a leader because at the end of the day each of these actions or qualities depends on control. A business manager is obviously an individual who knows how to manage effective business resources and who know how to control and give responsibilities to subordinate which of course leads to the growth and development of the business organization. A leader on the other hand is an individual who knows how to communicate to his or her subordinate making them to see reasons why a particular prospect should be followed or pursued. Management and leadership are of course very much related and a manager can be a leader.

Becoming a manager also involves leadership since a business manager can be seen as the most superior individual in a business firm, managerial skills a business owner must possess include first of all leadership.

He or she must also be able to direct workers and staffs in the business organization thereby assigning them roles and responsibilities that they must carry out so as to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
