If you should ask me, I would say there is absolutely no difference between being a manager and being a leader. Being a manager is so much as being a leader and just as a manager is responsible in putting the interest of his or her employees and that of his or her client at customers ahead of his or her own interests, same is also applied to a political or religious leader because he or she does not put his or her own interest first but rather, what he or she puts first is the interest of those whom he or she was elected or choosen to govern over. A business manager is also responsible for carrying out managerial responsibilities and duties in the business organisation just as coordination and organising of business confidential datas and informations, same is also applied to the duty and responsibility of a religious or political leader he or she carry out confidential information pertaining to the individuals he or she was elected to govern over.

Most importantly a business manager is responsible for handling all business problems and all business hindrance some of which include facing business competitors and rivals, maintaining reasonable amount of output and profit even when cost of production increases, and finally the business manager is also responsible for handling or carrying business crisis whether natural or environmental etc. On the other hand, a religious or political leader handle societal problems bothering the people. Ways a religious or political leader helps in problems bothering his or her subjects is by providing societal infrastructure and public amenities such as, good transportation system, educational facilities and recreation or entertainment properties etc.

Like you already mentioned there is absolutely no much difference between being a leader and being a business manager and in fact they almost mean the same thing but the only difference is that a religious or political leader is in charge of leading a particular group of persons politically and religiously but a business manager controls and process can also interpret or financial and organisational responsibilities of a business organisation. Just as you already mention that a business owner does not put his or her interest first or rather the interest of his employees and that of his customers and clients, send is also applied to that of a religious or political leader because he or she puts the interest of his or her subjects first before his or her own interest.

A leader must so much be qualified same is also applied to a business manager, a business manager must be qualified in fact his or her qualification is important to the existence of the business organisation.

The main similarities between management and leadership are that they both know what they can and cannot do, how to get results and who their subordinates should be. Another similarity is that they all have high ethical standards and want what is best for everyone else in the organization.

Management and leadership are fundamentally different, but they share many similarities. For example, they both require a vision and values, critical thinking, problem-solving, analysis, personal integrity and relationship skills.

Management and leadership are both about responsibility, focus on results and commitment to the mission. But there are also differences. Management is more focused on how a group of people interact with each other, while leadership involves guiding the entire organization. Management focuses on people skills, while leaders must also have technical skills. To be a good manager is to be a good leader, they are connected in one way or the other.
