Would you employ a highly qualified and competent nursing mother?

My friend just went for a job interview, she is a nursing mother with a baby of about 8 months. Among all the 6 people that came to interview for the job, she was the best on the written test, she was also the best on the oral test. She was called in to meet the boss of the organization. She was told that she was the most qualified and competent candidate interviewed for the position. They said they can't employ her because she is a nursing mother. I really felt for her and she also felt bad herself.

She told them she can put her daughter in the creche. They refused saying that a nursing mom doesn't have a stable mind to deliver. I want to ask if it is wrong to employ a nursing mother in an organization. Would you employ her for her competence and intelligence. Give me your views
