The other has an academic qualification in the field but no experience. Which one of the two candidates do you think would be appropriate for the role?
I would pick the experienced person ahead of the academically qualified person. With the experienced person, there would be no need for training and that would save some cost for the organization. The experienced person. can slot in almost immediately to the new role. I prefer experienced over an academic certificate.
