Working in an organization makes you have to encounter and come across different kind of people with varying characters which could either be appealing or displeasing to you.

But nevertheless, building good relationships at work has a lot of benefits and that is why it is very important to have the ability to accommodate people regardless of their characters and how you feel about them. The following are some of the many benefits;

• You make a lot of friends who will be very helpful at times when it comes to whether promotion or some other things which you need support from colleagues.
• You also build a good reputation especially if your characters are nice and inviting. These may have long term and future benefits to you and probably even your progeny.
• It also keeps you active and helps you avoid feeling bored or tired of your work and position since you have valuable relationships you need to keep.

You don't just need to build good relationships in the workplace alone. You have to build good relationships in every endeavor you find yourself in and everywhere you happen to be. Why it is more important in your workplace is that these good relationships have the potential to boost and advance your career.

If you are in the good books of your colleagues, they would easily refer you to someone that wants to hire anyone with your skill set. On the contrary, no matter how skillful you may be, your colleagues would never refer you if they are not in a friendly disposition with you.

I know how many jobs and contracts I have had as a result of referrals from former colleagues. It is even important to maintain good relationships with ex-colleagues. No man is an island. We absolutely need one another to build and advance our careers. The need to build good relationships at work cannot be overemphasized.

Good relationships are important for a healthy and productive workplace. A company that has a strong team dynamic can achieve more goals, be more creative and innovative, and grow faster than one that does not.

The most important relationship in any company is between the CEO and the employees, because they are the ones responsible for hiring and firing, as well as creating policies that affect everyone else. They set the tone for how they want their employees to work together without being overbearing or dictatorial.

If a CEO has good relationships with their employees, it will be easier for them to communicate with each other about issues such as workloads and deadlines, which will ultimately make them more efficient at their jobs. They won't have to drag their feet when it comes time for them to do something because they don't feel like it's important enough for them to take action on yet.

The same goes for communication within departments; if there's trust between coworkers then there's less friction when trying to figure out who's doing what or why something isn't getting done properly since everyone knows each other's strengths and weaknesses already.
