Hi Olive,
my experience in SEO drive me to prefer content over the others criteria to rank in Google.
Lately (this year 2020) Google has changed its "point of view" and rewards the ones who comply the expectation of "intention of search".
Simplifying: think that Google want to present to the user the result that is perfect (or closer at least) to his/her need: so it stated to look less to links and url structure and reward the quality of the content.
That means that webs that until the last year ranked high for link building and url structure, this year start to rank significanly less.

Summarize: CONTENT is the king! Write text that answer to the user intention of search and you'll rank high!
