One of the most common misconceptions about SEO is that backlinks are necessary for a site to rank well. While backlinks are definitely a valuable tool for SEO, there are many other factors that can contribute to a site’s ranking.

Backlinks are important, but not the only factor that determines a site’s ranking. The following are some other factors that can impact a site’s ranking:

Content : The quality of the site’s content is key to its ranking, and Google looks for sites with high-quality content that is relevant to the search query.

Whether you do SEO or not, your blog will of course rank on google or other search engines. Every page published on the internet is indexed by search engines, when search engines index the pages, or let's say search engine bots crawl the pages, your blog will rank on the search engines. Ranking on search engines means your website or blog appears on the search engine result page. However, you can benefit only when your blog is ranked high on the search result pages, if possible on the top 5 results, if not on the first page, or within 3 pages of the research result. If your blog ranks on the 30th page, it will be never found by the readers and you will never have search traffic. High ranking is a result of various factors and one of them is backlinks. IN the past you could rank well without backlinks, but these days it is impossible.

Some users goes to google adwords and then to have their sites in first results and also bids for keywords or something like that but such solution is really expensive and needs a great budget for long term run.
