One of the biggest challenges I faced today happened as a result of the the petrol scarcity, I wonder why we are still in this boat, for a country that is heavily blessed with the abundance of crude oil and other natural resources, we will have to take our crude oil out of the country to another country to refine it and then bring it back here again to our country to resell at an exorbitant rate. Why is our government thinking in this manner why are they finding it so difficult to build more refineries here in my country. I want to believe we are the only ones that has this crude oil and that takes it out of country to refinery outside and only come back with diesel, petrol, gas and kerosene. The other compounds that can be found in crude oil over about six thousand of them are taken away from us and we will have to go back again to purchased them at an exorbitant rate. Where did we get it wrong. Now I really faced a serious hassle to get to my office as the petrol is scarce and the fair is so high .

For me I would say this; Operating businesses in this trying times is very challenging. There are many reasons as to why most businesses do badly nowadays.
Firstly we have an ongoing worldwide inflation that is ravaging the business world today. The ongoing inflation has caused a major increase in the prices of petroleum products which has resulted to the significantly increase in the cost of production and transportation of goods and services. This has subsequently led to the shooting in the prices of almost everything in the world which makes the cost of operating businesses to be very high. However, the higher the costs of business operations the more riskier the Businesses are to making losses therefore Most traders can't bear the situation and end up collapsing or closing the businesses. However there are many challenges facing the businesses today just to mention a few.
Economic and political instabilities also poses a high risk to the smooth running of businesses worldwide. For instance the Russian and Ukrainian war has really ravaged the world's economy and affected the businesses very negatively as people are not in peace to go out to operation of their Businesses and even go working on the industries for production of products.

In my country, Nigeria, the biggest challenge faced by business today stems to the economy of the whole country. The economy is unstable and it affects businesses in so many ways. You go to the market and but goods or the products you sell, you finish selling them and went back with the same amount to buy the goods/ products again, the price has doubled. Automatically, that means you are out of business. Still on the economy, purchasing power is low and you can't easily sell off a product.

Also, the level of taxation by the government is excessive. For business people, you are being told to pay taxes on so many things that at a point, being in business doesn't look attractive. It is not easy to do business in Nigeria, and Africa. You need so much determination and grit to even stag afloat as a business person in Nigeria and Africa.
