Generally big technological companies especially social media allows their platform for free when they monitor is it from the advertisements that is usually posted in it. There is usually a limit to the amount of data that they can publish to other people or give third party applications access to but there are some that goes a very long way in order to do it especially for political reasons. There are also some big companies that do not like to declare their assets or how they operate. At the end of the day this is going to save them hundreds to thousands of dollars in taxes which at the end of the day is not going to be a good thing for the economy.

There are also some companies that are known to be treating employees very badly and not compensate them well.

For example, the government collects money from the general people in the name of taxes, the government does not use the money properly, it misuses. Government levies a huge custom duty to make the products more expensive. A large portion of the money government collects are used for nonsense things like paying the politicians and the people in the government (people in the parliaments, ministers, prime minister, presidents, etc.) Unethical practices are every where.

These things you mentioned in your post is very common among the established business owners around the world. They have the keen ability to spot a business that will become bigger in the nearest future.

They take over the business forcefully with money and power so that it will not be a major competitor in the nearest future. This is the reason why you see them buying every available small business with a good prospect.

A classic example of this can be seen with Google. They don't want to repeat the same mistake Yahoo made when Google was was still very young and cheap. As a result of this, they buy out every business idea or startup just to avoid competitors.
