Easy does it has never worked in business. If you try to play it safe in business, you would stagnate at a particular level for a very long time. Starting a business in itself is risk. That's because no person signed an allegiance to patronize you but you stepped out to try your luck.

Every other path in between the business cycle would also be propelled by risk. Hiring staff is a risk. You might hire a staff who would defraud the business. But you put safety nets in the risks you take and go ahead to take those risks. Growth in business is propelled by risks.

When there is money involved, and when you expect profit, there is always risk. It does not matter what type of business you are running, or what kind of size your business has, business always has a risk. No matter how much risk preventative measures you take, there is always risk in a business. The only difference is some businesses have a lot of risks where as some business has minimal risk. Having said that there are also many methods to minimize your business risks
