In order to generate leads, you should take care of what you write on your promotional material. You need to write a great copy, your need to give a great title and you need to come up with eye catching captions. In a sales copy you do not have much room to write long paragraphs, you also do not have the leverage of making your customers read a long article. Therefore you should come up with a catchy headline, captions, and a shirt description.

Here’s how you can write captions that generate leads

Write something that will stop people from scrolling down and stop them to read your post

Make them want more, pique their interest on your product or service

Skip slang, lingo, cliché that might not be appropriate to majority of people

Be real, provide authenticity

Provide consistency with your communication when interacting with the comments on your posts, make sure you reply in the same tone.

By Caption in this context, we're not talking about the one-sentence caption that you post alongside your selfies—we're talking about the descriptive text that accompanies any product images or photos of events, facilities, or services on your website's pages.

Aside from image the main reason why someone would choose to make a purchase online—and if they did choose to make a purchase, it was almost always because they'd read the short caption. This can be seen even in normal social pictures where you act a short description accompanied with a catchy image, the attention and engagement tend to be more high.

So: how can you write captions that are guaranteed to convince someone to convert in business? It's not as hard as it seems!

First: you want to get right to the point with your captions. Let's say that your caption is going to accompany an image of a vintage dresser. Instead of writing something like: "This antique dresser has three drawers and is made from sturdy oak," try something more concise like: "Vintage dresser." This cuts out all of the fluff and gets straight to what matters for potential customers. If someone wants more information about this product, they can click through and read more details on its page later.

Second: create a compelling story.

Why do you need a caption in the first place, why can't your ad or promotional material be self-explanatory? I understand in some cases, we need a caption, but you should never use captions as ornaments, instead, your caption should be the endemic part of your ad. Let's say your ad shows a green mountain, will it help you if your caption says "green mountain" If your caption does not explain how a green mountain is related to your product, your caption will not help you, your caption should give additional information. For instance, if the mountain is 2000 ft tall, you can use this reference to explain your product, if your product is an eco-friendly product, you can use the green mountin reference to explain your eco-friendly product. Your caption should also be short, the shorter the better. People don't have time to read 40-50 words caption. If you are writing a caption for your social media post, you should only use relevant information or something that will encourage people to want to learn more. Your caption should no use vague information, your caption should not be a clickbait, your caption should be something that exactly describes your product.
