How to still retain your customers after rebranding

A business will always need some rebranding after a while if you still want to be on top of your game. There will come a time that you might need to change the packaging, color or even the content of your product but you need to do this without losing your existing customers.

you can use the below points to achieve this without causing much harm.

1. Tell your existing customers before hand. This will really be helpful if your rebranding will still need the already existed customer based. you can let them in and tell them what to expect so nothing is really off for them.

2. You would need to explain to them, the logic behind your rebranding and it will be good that you make it all about them so that they see more of the benefits to them than what you would stand to gain.

3. You would have to still be in the same energy level you were with them prior before this time. This is to say that you should give same expertise, quality product and top notch customer service. Infact let the rebranding be better to give the customer no choice but to continue with the company.

what do you think about this?

I can agree that a business can need rebranding but that is on a case to case basis. Take for example the largest fast food here called Jollibee. Their logo and color design is the same as when the business started sometime in the 1980s. Until now the business is still growing and they are establishing branches in many countries already. That means there is no need for rebranding since the business is doing good. As they say in the US, why fix it when it ain't broke?

The issue with rebranding is that customers may lose their way. That happened to a brand of laundry soap that changed the logo and design of the packaging. Some of their customers got lost and thought the product was phased out. That is the risk that you will take when you rebrand your business.

Yeah your last paragraph is the reason for this post one needs to guard against losing customers during and after a rebrand you need to make sure that you let your customers into your plan to avoid getting them lost. when once the customers know I doubt they will be lost. even if it means paying heavily for advertising one should do this to grow the business as always.

Sometimes after rebranding your goods and commodities some of your customers as well as client might be mistaken that you are no more in business then I also go to your various competitors to satisfy your bones and made thereby robbing you of the ability to make profit and sales. To prevent this from happening there are various things you can do first of all like you what you listed above you can tell your customers clients and patronize us beforehand that you will be rebranding your product yes this will make them fully aware that you are not out of business but rather just rebranding for updating and upgraded purpose.
Another formation you can take is by posting online or giving fliers to various customers who patronize you presently letting them know that you will be rebranding your product and also tell them the upgrade that you will be making on your product this in turn will entice them to the extent that they can't wait to see what you have in store for them and it is always necessary to keep to your promise if your intention is to keep your customers intact. Finally advertisement on radio televisions can also help to let the masses know that you will be refunding the product not that you r going out of business.

You are right with your submission, rebranding especially when it is still about the same line of business shouldn't make customers to be lose . this is why to get them on board the whole process before and during the rebranding. it will make the customer base to be still intact. Rebranding to a business is very necessary but it should be done in a way that the business wouldn't be affected negatively.

Rebranding in business is an essential element of a business to help it adapt to the current change in the environment and technology world. For rebranding of a product to be effective and still achieve it aim then it must be communicated to it customer before the rebranding take place, the rebranding must be to add better better features to the existing products or to improveon the product in other to serve it customers better than before.
Once a product is rebranded and the customers are able to get better satisfaction from the same product then their loyalty will remain unchanged towards the product but if it goes other way round then the rebranding has not achieve it aim or purposes for which it intendto achieve.

Exactly, rebranding for a produce don't need to be distorted in a way that it loses customer base for the business. this is will just be the way it was handled. if it is handled properly then the aim would have been achieved and everything goes as intended. This is why it is good to let the customers know about the rebranding after the act to still retain them.
