This ovarian cancer month, test your knowledge. Did you know that there’s currently no population-based screening program for ovarian cancer?

This is because there’s currently no effective test and not enough evidence to suggest that screening would reduce the number of deaths.

Many symptoms that may indicate ovarian cancer are vague and are often relate to more common, less serious health problems. They can include abdominal bloating, feeling full quickly, frequent or urgent urination, back, abdominal or pelvic pain, constipation, menstrual irregularities, fatigue, indigestion or pain during sexual intercourse.

If you notice symptoms or are concerned about your risk, it’s best to talk to your doctor about your options.
