You sure need traffic on your blog but just because you have traffic does not mean you will earn. The traffic on your blog should also interact with the ads on your blog. If the visitors do not engage with the ads on your blog, there will be no earnings. Ad engagement means your visitors clicks on your ads, visitors buy the products and services advertised on your site. This will happen only when your visitors find interest on your ads. Your visitors will be interested in your ads only when the ads are related to the blog content.
