Bad elements are those who stand as an obstacle to the progress of your business. The bad element in the investors, employee or customers.

It is your duty to find a way to deal with this set of people so that they are not going to Hinder the progress of your business.

In this blog post I am going to highlight things you need to do in order to deal with the bad elements appropriately in your business.

Schedule A Meeting
Thethe first step is to schedule a meeting with the bad element in your business. If the bad element is an investor. you can schedule a meeting in order to know what really give them worries about the business.

You are going to apply the same strategy for workers and customers. Try to jot them whatever happens to be their concern about the business during the meeting.

Give Second Chance
If if it happens that the bad element is a worker in the company. you can still give the person a second chance to see if he or she is going to turn a new leaf. You should monitor the person closely in order to see if there is changes.

Fire Without Hesitation
If if there is no changes to what you expected from those bad elements in the business, the next thing is to fire them without hesitation. If it is an investor, you buy out all the shares of a company from him.

The bad elements mentioned in the above blog can not only bring down the business directly but also do have indirect influences like ruining the work culture and work environment of the business. Any business whether it's a new and small one or a big successful one needs a constant care and monitoring to function well. It needs care to be groomed. And these bad elements are like weeds in the garden. Just as we need to have a regular maintenance and weeding of the garden to let our plants grow healthy, we need a regular check on these elements that bring down the energy level of the business. I agree with the point that people need a second chance as most of us are not perfect and learn and grow from our mistakes. That's why most corporates and businesses have employment revaluation and feedback scheme. Underperforming employees are given PIP( performance improvement program) to improve their professional skills and performances. Those who are keen to keep the job take it seriously and do show improvement. The business is never shy to fire the ones who fail to improve. It's in larger interest of the business and other employees. However, it's also an unfortunate situation that many corporates misuse this power and use the PIP as an excuse to fire employees even when they are not underperforming or show improvement. They find excuses as they have to cut size the employees population fir various other reasons.

From my own perspective , the way I understand that the topic of your thread when you said the word elements in respect to business terms I will consider it to be as obstacles and hindrances I can't have obstructed or hindered your business from reaching its full potential and reaching higher heights thereby making it unable to make or accumulate more business sales and income or making it known by members of the public . A good example of business obstruction to inspire is the availability of business competitors . Sometimes business competitors are not called for the just happen , in a case where you are faced or surrounded by competitors selling or rendering the same goods and services as yours , this usually calls for the time of outsmarting and out-creative your employees .

One one of the things that business competitors are more likely to do is to use fake and fraudulent measures and systems to boost their business sales . It is advisable not to fall into their snare , pressure and temptationto join them in the using of fraudulent measures and systems to boost your own business profit . Rather stay unique , stay fraudulent-free and do not adulterate your system of selling or rendering goods and services .

I would disagree here a bit about putting investors and customers in the category of bad elements. These are two who are very crucial for the success of any business but definitely the ones who are not in the control of the business owner. While the employees can be controlled to make them efficient and productive to increase the business, trying to control investors or customers might have a bad influence. It would surely backfire.
Business has to make the business proposal so impressive that investors can sense that the business is going to be profitable and are ready to invest. Investors are of key importance to provide financial support and kickstart the business. The onus lies on the business to make the proposal sound impressive and profitable enough to attract them. They are investing their money and so it's a pure professional angle there. They need to be assured that their money is in good hands and they will get a good return. It's important to keep meetings with them and have clear terms and expectations. Any bad terms can jeopardize the term and effect the business.
Business has to be on toe to keep the customers happy. Any business would be profitable only if it has happy customers.. That's why customer satisfaction and services is so important for any business.
So, in nutshell customers and investors have to be impressed and invited to your boat. And they should come to your boat happily for a smooth sailing of the business.

When there is a bad element in business, it truly hinders the operations in the business. Making it perform poorly because there is something that is not going right. It is the duty of the business owner or the manager to ensure that such elements are dealt with so as to protect the business.

It all starts with identifying the bad elements in business. A survey or observation should be done in order to determine who is the problem in the company. It could be the workers, the management team, the workers or just the way things are don in the business.

After identifying the bad elements in business, you should look for ways to solve it. Of which that will require you to go back to business rules and constitution. Like what plans have been set to deal with such situations. If it is the worker who has gone wrong, then what are the consequences of it.

Once you decide on what needs to be done to solve the problem, you should go ahead and implement the solution. You may have decided to train the employees afresh for example, so go ahead and set a date for the training and invite trainers.

It's a popular saying that prevention is better than cure. The same can hold true for bad elements in business too. It's better to take all measures to let it not start or nip it off in a budding stage if it has started by any means. Letting it go even for a while or ignoring it at the initial stages can lead to major problems.
So, the business owner has to be very regular with the maintenance and sustenance of the business. The business terms and rules should have no ambiguity and the expectations from the employees should be stated very clear. So, onboarding of employees becomes a crucial part. A good orientation and training in the initial onboarding would help. Those working for the business should have a clear idea of what is expected from them.
There should be regular meetings and talks to revisit and refresh these rules and expectations.
Sometimes employees are not satisfied with the setup and that effects them and their productivity. That too can be a reason for the uprising of the bad elements. It's the responsibility of the business owner to kajr sure that the voice of employees is heard and their dues like appreciation, appraisal, hikes etc.should be done in time. Also regular team building events lead to better mental and emotional health of employees and they feel that belonging to the workplace.

Lolz, thanks for sharing but in most cases they are not only the people that are with you in the business, the bad elements in your business could even be your competitors, in this case what do you think should be the best option ? Because if your competitor are the elements that are blocking you from progressing in your business then you should also try as much as possible to make sure that you brought up your business to the standards that you can compete with them without the release of negative energy. Negative energy in the sense that you don't look for a way to eliminate the other party but you also try to make your product the best for people to have interest.

If they are employees in your business, I believe the best thing you have to do in this situation is just to try and find out the reason why they are becoming an obstacle to the progress of the business organisation.

This will really give you an understanding and a better idea on how to handle the situation , if it's because the workload is too much they will tell you and so many other things .

Wherever you have humans or people come together for a purpose you would encounter bad elements in the family these are the black sheep's and the place of work is no exceptions because it is this same people that are bad in the homes that come to look for jobs and get employed. Employers know how some people can have bad attitude and behavior even in a place that it why they put more efforts during the hiring process to avoid employing unruly people in the first place but some people have the high skill of hiding a part of them during the hiring process and they get hired at the end of the day.

But like pregnancy which would eventually show, the bad attitude can't be hidden for long and it will show with the tasks given or in working relationship with others . when this happens I think employers should have a face to face discussion with them. Sometimes correcting the person can help.

Secondly, if there's a counsellor to help then this should be given a shot so that the person can be helped but if all have been done and the person is still exhibiting bad character then sacking the person would help.

The bad elements to business progress should not include the customers and investors. I will not totally object the fact that employee may serve as an hinderance to the progress of the business. There is no evidence or a cogent reason why an investor, who will also want to make money as the business progresses, to still be an hinderance.

In my own opinion, some bad elements are the competitors, government and the employee together with the producers of the raw materials. I will expatiate on them to prove why I refer to them as hinderances to the progress of the business.

Competitors will not want the business to progress. The fact that they sell the same thing as you will make them do all what they can do to make sure that they attract customers more than you do. They will try their best to lire even your existing customers and go at length to defsme your business. To win over this, identify them and always be creative.

Government at times come out with some policies that are not friendly to the business. They may intentionally introduce higher tax or even do some other things that will not benefit the business owner.

The first thing is to try as much as possible to come to the realisation of the fact that people like this are always going to be there in your business , and you just have to make a way for yourself and try as much as possible to avoid them or to deal with them in the most appropriate manner because you can never completely eliminate them from being of circles to your businesses .

You also have to try as much as possible to get good relationship with people , no matter how bad they want to behave towards you .

As a business owner , you do not have to always react negatively to people who behave that way because some of them may be suffering from some things which are troubling them and making them to behave that way .

When you show them some good level of care and make them to see you as someone who has their best interest in mind , I believe you will be able to win them over by making them to become loyal customers .

Doing this really take so much time and patience and you just have to bear it in mind to avoid giving up easily.

The above post by @Bookwormlux has made a valid point. A business leader or entrepreneur has to have a good leadership and people skill. No matter how hard you try and take care of everything, it's impossible to get these people totally eliminated from any system. And many a times they can be a valuable resource in some other way and getting rid of them might badly impact your business. So, it is always good to learn to deal with them smartly.
Moreover, if a business owner starts getting rid of each and every bad elements there in people working there, there might be a mass firing or exodus from the business. Abd rhat is never good for the reputation of the business. It might even make the working environment a bit hostile for the other employees and partners too. They might not feel comfortable working as they would feel constraint. And no one likes to work in pressure or can be fully effective in such environment. Also when such things of elimination become a trend, even hiring new employees would be tough. People would be hesitant to join such business.
It's tricky to handle all things together. So, a business owner needs to have a good understanding of people relationship and should be able to create a balanced comfortable working environment.
