How can I start affiliate marketing with no money?

Affiliate marketing is the most cost-effective way to monetize your website or blog, especially if you have a smaller budget and no product of your own to sell. Affiliate marketing allows you to recommend products or services of other businesses in exchange for receiving advertising fees, commission on sales, or both. (For more on affiliate marketing and how it works, see our guide on How to Make Money Online with Affiliate Marketing.)

Step 1: Join an Affiliate Program

The best way to get started is to join an affiliate program. An affiliate program is when you link up your site with an advertiser’s. Typically, these advertisers will provide promotional codes for their products, which means you’ll earn a commission when someone uses that code to make a purchase. Once you find a company whose product(s) or service(s) you want to promote, contact them directly and see if they have an affiliate program! (They probably do!) Not sure where to look?

Step 2: Pick Your Niche

First, you need to pick a niche. This is key in affiliate marketing. If you join a bunch of different programs, you won’t be able to promote your content effectively and convert it into sales. You should pick a topic or industry that’s interesting to you and one that has an audience that wants information on it (e.g., health care). Then, pick at least three specific companies in that industry that have products or services available for affiliates to market on their websites (i.e., by adding links throughout your content) through affiliate programs. If there aren’t any, find some more popular niches until you do find something! Again, do your research so you don’t get scammed!

Step 3: Search For Affiliate Offers

Pick a niche you like and find some related offers on affiliate networks like Clickbank or Digital River. Typically, you'll want to join at least two to three different networks — one for products in your niche, and others for complementary products. The first step is to sign up on a few of these sites; typically it's free and there's no obligation unless you make a sale. Search through their catalogs, open an account, then apply for each product's affiliate program individually. They may require that you meet certain criteria (for example, joining their email list) before being accepted into their program. Keep track of each program's application process so that when you begin promoting them later in Step 5, you won't have any issues qualifying for commissions.

Step 4: Draft a Review Post

How do you make money from affiliate marketing? Being an affiliate marketer is one of my favorite ways to earn income online. With so many people shopping online, it’s a smart idea to find a niche that’s profitable. If you have expertise in a particular industry, write about that field and make recommendations for products or services. For example, if you’re passionate about cooking and know everything there is to know about slow cookers and pressure cookers, then creating a site around those topics may be worthwhile — if they sell well and bring visitors to your site. You don’t need experience in product development or design either; if you have other skills (like writing) that could relate well to readers who enjoy making food at home, use them!

Step 5: Promote Your Affiliate Site

You’ve built your site, made sure it looks great, and filled it with killer content. Now what? You need to get people there! Use your email list to launch an email marketing campaign. Set up social media profiles and post links to your new site on all of them. Your site will likely bring in traffic both from search engines as well as through direct traffic when people share your content via social media. If you want to get more serious about driving more traffic and exposing yourself to a larger audience, consider paid advertising options like Google Adwords or Facebook Ads.

Get clicks on your affiliate links.

Depending on your niche, getting clicks on your links might be easy (for example, let’s say you have a beauty site and you’re promoting lip balm). Or it might be difficult (for example, if you write about sports or politics and are trying to drive traffic to Amazon). So decide how you want to acquire those clicks — and then figure out how to do it. Do research. Figure out what types of content perform well in your industry. Brainstorm tactics that fit within your niche. Be creative! If need be, pay for clicks until your traffic gets going — but don’t just throw money at an ad campaign because you think that spending more means more results. You might end up with an expensive mess on your hands.

Convert clicks to sales

What do you want people to do once they’ve clicked through your link? If it’s something like sign up for my newsletter, make sure you have a place on your website that clearly lays out what readers will get when they subscribe. What content are you offering in exchange for their email address, and is it relevant to them, valuable and easy to consume (or at least skim)? Make sure you put all of these pieces together before you publish your first post. You might also consider creating a lead magnet or two — an offer designed specifically to collect an email address — so new visitors can sign up without going anywhere else.

You may want to get into blogging first in order to build up a following before you invest any serious time or money into paid advertising. With that said, here are some tips on how to market your site. Once you've created a site and a social media following, you need to decide what your objective is for creating a niche website: content creation (getting subscribers), lead generation (getting contact information so you can email people), or even direct sales (if you're creating products, whether digital or physical). It will help you create relevant content, which brings us to our next point. There are a lot of free tools you can use but before you do that it is very much important to have proper knowledge of how some certain things works.

First of all, you must to learn how to create contents, you must also learn graphics designing because by using some free tools you need to do your graphics designing well.

It is not really about you starting an affiliate marketing but how you can effectively succeed in your affiliate journey without having any challenge is the most important thing , and because of this you will need some money to get all the needed information to start your affiliate marketing effectively and succeed without going through a lot of stress because the stress you will be going through when you do not get the required knowledge before starting is the experience you have to learn from and personally I do not have the time to learn from experience.

I don't really know much about other peoples but for me I rather choose to pay money to get all the needed information concerning a particular thing at once than for me to be learning from experience which is always time-consuming.

I know affiliate marketing is one of the most profitable online business people can do to make money but even though it is profitable an affiliate marketer needs to understand the strategy that is needed to effectively sells products on the internet without encountering any problem.

You can learn your skill from experience or you learn it from people that have better understanding of it.
