The growth of the office or company will be geometric when the employees exhibit professional traits. You can't compared the development of a company where employee behave professionally with those without this trait. Professonalism is needed in the workplace at a higher level than other traits.

It is in the hands of the employer or a Boss to bring out this professionalism in their workers or employees. So how can you develop and stimulate professionaism with yoyr employees

Coaching and mentoring; How else would you make your workers professionals. You would need to mentor and Coach them . The workers will imbibe all those traits with time.

Offer Cross departmental training: Apart from the normal departmental training that you have, you should also try with cross departmental training, then people in a different department learns about the jobs of other departments. This way they can help out in other departments when the need arises.

Give quick feedback: You don't have to waste time with your feedback. You have to give your opinion as requested by an employee. This will quicken the correction if that's is what was needed

Recognize the great workers: This will make others to sit up You would need to award and rewards hard working ones to make them professional.

In most of my posts that concerns workers, I do give kudos to workers for their roles in the development of their organization. They are kings as I do call them. This is the reason why a business owner needs to take proper care if them in order to facilitate the way they work.

An employer can organize seminars for workers. This can be done at some interval in order to let the workers know the updated issues concerning their socialisation. Some organisations that do this always stand ahead of those that fail to do it. This is because the workers will be aware of new development.

Giving rewards and incentives: apart from salary which is the agreed money for work done. There should be incentives and rewards for workers. Workers can be recognized through awards giving. Most time, the extra efforts of workers should be compensated with some incentives.

Registering of insurance scheme: employers can insure some of their workers especially on health issue. Sometims, workers may need improvement on their health. The insurance will just be responsible for the money that they may pay for the health.

In other words, employers should focus more on how to improve their workers life.

I definitely agree with you employers need to know that the employees are the brain box of their companies or organizations. So you would need to pour in so much in them to be as professional as you want them to be. Mere scolding or humiliating wouldn't help because I see some employers try to shame their employees when they do not exude professionalism. The employers should always ask themselves what can I do to improve the work life of my employees

If you as a professional acquired your skills from others mentoring you then it is your turn to mentor others. if you got your professionalism from attending conferences, seminars or even webinar then it is time to replicate same. Training wheher informal or formal is very essential for employees especially that are really willing to gain mastery of their career

Recognizing those that are trying can also help push others to greatness. But this not to abuse others and expect them to replicate same, no it wouldn't work that way. the best is to plead with others to copy from those that are being professional in their discharge it duties. Giving feedback to improve their skills will be an added advantage to employees.

The Original Poster has raised a very great issue and highlighted the importance of employee development because I think that this is something that is really needed. I think that many employers make many mistakes that could actually have a really bad effect on workers and I think that we need to discuss that, too.

Criticising The Employees All The Time

I used to work for a company that used to asses the performance of workers daily and they used to criticise employees even if they preformed outstanding the other day. They never realised that employees cannot deliver great performance all the time.

Demanding Too Much

Demanding too much can also have some bad effects on the performance of the employees, especially if you work in a company where you are supposed to deliver each day. I have left my job due to this reason. The employees were demanding too much and they we paying too less.

Paying Less Amount Of Salary

I live in a developing country where inflation has destroyed the economy and the salaries of people are not that high either and this is why many people have no option but to work for low wages. This can al;so have a bad effect on employees.

As a manager and leader, it's important to help your employees grow both personally and professionally. You'll be amazed at how much more engaged your team will be if you create an environment where they can learn, grow and achieve their goals. Here are some simple tips for developing your employees' professional lives:

1. Help them find a mentor or coach who's been there before and can share advice on how to navigate challenges in their career.

2. Encourage them to attend training programs that will help them develop new skills or improve on existing ones, such as leadership training or negotiation skills training.

3. Create opportunities for them to meet with other professionals in their field so they can learn from each other's experiences and share ideas about how they've approached similar challenges in their careers.

4. Give them opportunities to gain new experience by sending them on assignments outside of the office or allowing them time off to work on projects related to their interests outside of work hours (such as volunteering at local charities).

You can create specific goals for each employee by assessing their current skills, determining how much time they should spend on certain tasks, and making sure that their current workload is reasonable.

It is indeed true that the level of professionalism of the workers in any organisation or set up greatly affects and determines the level of effectiveness and productivity of the organization. This is plain and inarguable and I think that points to us reasons the more, why you need to have professional workers.

As you have already mentioned, one of the ways that this can be done or the professionallity of workers can be improved is by mentoring and coaching. But even before this, an initial plan that an organization should have in place should ensure that any worker they are employing has the qualities and qualifications that make them professional.

So I think one of the best ways an organization can put such a thing in place is by making sure that any worker the company is going to employ undergoes some test whether obvious or not, which will prove his or her professionalism.

It's no secret that happy employees are more productive employees. And one of the best ways to keep your team members happy and engaged is to invest in their professional development. Here are ways you can develop your employees professionally:
1. Offer opportunities for growth. Make sure your employees have the opportunity to grow within your company. This could mean offering promotions or cross-training in new areas. When employees feel like they're stuck in a rut, it's harder for them to stay motivated.
2. Encourage continued education. Invest in your employees' education by offering tuition reimbursement or paid time off to attend conferences or workshops. When employees feel like they're constantly learning, they're more likely to be engaged in their work.
3. Provide mentorship opportunities. Pair up your more experienced employees with newer team members to provide guidance and support. This mentorship can be informal or formal, but it's a great way to help your employees learn and grow.
4. Offer flexible work arrangements. Flexible work arrangements show that you value your employees' worklife balance. This could mean offering flexible hours, telecommuting options, or even sabbaticals. When employees feel
