Why is leadership rare in real estate?


In short, because most people do not meet the above conditions. However, don't think that I criticized the real estate agents: I just want to say that the nature of this job makes it harder for you to be compatible with the requirements of leadership.

A real estate agent is a free entrepreneur (even if he works in an agency, as a simple agent) who has to do the daily business necessary for the business. To make his diary, to watch, to give his phones, to keep an eye on the walls so that the idea of taking him (him, the buyer) to that place would make him make the decision. But all this for the most part ALONE. Because that's the nature of the job. Unlike the leader, who works in groups and with groups, the agent works alone or in a one-on-one relationship with his clients.



Do you have what it takes?


To become a true leader in real estate you need to have a high dose of altruism (which an ordinary agent does not have) but also a strong focus (which an ordinary agent has).

You have to have a vision and be able to shape the future in your mind, to be able to think beyond conventional approaches.

Respect other leaders, have a mentor and be someone's mentor.

To build a high-performance environment, attracting high-performance people to your side, without being afraid that they might take your place or leave you. People will not leave a good leader.

Don't be pretentious: neither to others nor to yourself. Know your qualities and flaws, who you are and what you are not.

Receive / feel admiration, loyalty, trust and respect from others.

Know how to follow a leader: if you can't follow a leader, you are not and will not be a leader.

Get ready every day: read, write, do.

How many of us have what we need? And if we don't, what stops us from respecting and following others?

Leadership in real estate is rare because each leader on the same real estate company has his own structure or manner of viewing means having three or four leaders in the same company will lead to many discussions to get a decision that let many companies be limited to one leader and even after taking decision each leader will have his own manner of applying strategy what means a lot of discussions about setting the strategy and applying it, the major problem that most of the companies don't want to handle it due to time pressure also to avoid these long terms.
