Why an organization needs both technical and non-technical staff.

Every organization craves to have highly technical staff that can crack and solve the technical problems in the organization. Most times, none technical staff are relegated to the background. The truth is that every organization needs a balance between technical staff and non-technical staff. It is like a system that one requires the other to work optimally. Any organization that focuses on employing only highly technical staff would not perform optimally.

Banks have accountants, marketers, Ut gurus, and a host of other technical staff but the absence of the guy that opens the door would be felt by both customers and staff alike.

I worked in a school where the proprietor looked down on cleaners and drivers. Till one day, when the cleaner resigned. Everyone felt the absence of the cleaner. The toilets were dirty and everywhere unkempt. It is important to regard your non-technical staff because they are equally as important.

An organization needs both technical and non-technical staff because when one is not available, the other can take over. For example, if a company has only technical staff, they will lose customers because they cannot be able to give them the service they need. On the other hand, if an organization has only non-technical staff, they will not be able to provide their customers with the best services possible.

When you have a team that is both technical and non-technical, you’re able to make sure your organization is functioning at its best.

Having the right people in place to work on a project or project team will help ensure that you get the job done. You need people who are trained in the field, but also people who can handle the tasks that don’t come naturally to engineers. Non-technical staff members can help with customer service and sales, which means that when an engineer needs support from their peers or from customer service, there’s someone available to help.
