What skills can a housewife acquire?

We have seen a situation where a woman becomes a housewife due to many reasons.
1) Her husband's choice
2) No job yet
3) She quit her previous job for the main time just to take care of her kids.
What skills can such woman acquire? In order not to be totally empty handed,at least to help her with little source of income. A housewife can learn how to make beads,braids hair, knitting, tailoring or go into writing. Depends on her Choice and what she has passion for. It is a good idea for such woman not to sit down totally idle, get something doing for the main time to assist her husband, supposed to be her priority except if her husband insisted she does nothing. Because I have seen a situation where some men wants the wife to be a full housewife while he takes care of the home because he thinks he can handle it. It is best the wife also try to acquire a skill for future sake.

Most persons seems to think a housewife is limited, but the truth of the matter is that there are so many skills a housewife can use in making money. I have come across a house wife who is a forex trader and networker, she is doing pretty well, and the best part she does not have to leave the house to make money. A house wife can also acquire freelancing skills like writing or graphic designing and lots more.

A housewife can acquire the following skills:

- Cooking skills, as a housewife she will be expected to cook for her family and if she does not want to learn the basics of cooking and how to use the kitchen appliances then she should take lessons from an expert.

- Cleaning skills, a housewife should be able to dust and clean the house properly in order to keep it hygienic.

- Sewing skills, as a housewife she will have to sew clothes for her children and other things that need sewing like curtains, bed sheets etc.

-Strategic thinking - you have to think ahead of time, how will you make sure your husband's work is done and how will you manage the household.

-Communication skills - you have to communicate with your family members, especially your husband. You also have to talk to other people like your employer or a neighbor.

-Problem solving skills - you can't just avoid problems because they're not your responsibility but if there's a problem, it's better for you to know how to solve that problem rather than just waiting for someone else to do it for you.

A house wife is open to several skill, including digital skills, it all depends on the time you want to set out to acquire those skills and put them into practice.
Tailoring is a good offline skill for a house wife as you can sew even at home,, catering is also a good one but you may need to put in more you time to get jobs done.
For online skills the best id say is affiliate marketing, as it may give the lady time to look after kids and still be creative, another online skill digital marketing, but this one may require a little more of your time.

To me if you ask of what kind of skills that a house wife can acquire, then I can also ask from where? Where do you expect the house wife to acquire that skills from, is it from the house or from where?

Firstly, maybe, she is a house wife because her husband doesn't want her to work and if is due to did situation the it will also be hardly for her to acquire skills outside the house. On the other hand, maybe she is a house wife because of her children and from this matter she has a scanty chance to acquire skills outside the house . She can only go out to learn new skill for a living only if her children are out for school. So to me I see it as a better way to learn her skill on the internet which can help her the most.

First of all, it is not a good idea for a house wife to be idle. That is , she must find something to do as a source of income. What naturally happens is that men always die before women. What if her husband dies before her ? Who will take care of her and the children. So a house wife must work to earn income and make provisions for the future. She can learn copywriting on websites like udemy, coursera etc

I don't think being a house wife should limit anyone when it comes to making money or acquiring a skill or skills even as a housewife. if you are determined to make your life a lot better then you don't have to waste away just rise up and begin to make the best of the various skills that are available.

I think acquiring skills has a housewife will depends solely on the interest that the person has as a housewife you can learn how to sew, learn computer skills, learn writing skills , programming or even coding.The thing is just to have interest for what you want to learn
