Teaching is one of the most sensitive careers because it involves some kind of mentorship for knowledge to be transferred from a teacher to a student. People always focus on the skills of impartation of knowledge to define a teacher. However, there are some skills not related to teaching that improves the teaching ability of a teacher. These non-teaching skills are:

1) Ability of a teacher to build positive relationships: This helps to inspire the confidence of students on the teacher and push through teamwork with other teachers to achieve goals.

2) Conflict Resolution Skills: In a typical conventional school, this skill is very necessary to be able to manage the students and create a conducive learning environment for every student.

3) Social and emotional skills: This skill is very important to be able to handle disappointments and failures. It is important to inspire and improve students.

The problem that we have now is that so many people are entering the teaching career because of unemployment and most of them don't even have anything in terms of attributes that makes one a successful teacher. That's why the quality of education is being eroded. Because of lack of passion, those people parading themselves as teachers nowadays don't even have the patience to build relationships with the students so as to deliver the teaching ans learning process effectively. It is a pitiable situation.
