The Insult
Vitalik Butetin is in bad shape. He has become the object of ridicule in the crypto world for a photo of himself bulging in the upper part of his pant.
Although body-shaming someone may not be good thing, yet hundreds of memes have been created by people on Vitalik, and shared online nonstop.
Reason 2.0
It can be assumed that the reason behind Vitalik's unbridled insults on social media is the possible status of ETH 2.0 after the proposed Ethereum merge.
According to the Ethereum Foundation, ETH 2.0 will neither reduce gas fees, nor increase transaction speed. So shifting from mining to staking will not bring any real relief to the people.
Vitalik Buterin keeps talking about the merge, but doesn't say anything on the subject of fees, so people are angry with him, and whoever make people angry for any reason, people will insult him as soon as they gets a chance.
