Many business owners do not know the significance of budget in their businesses and this is making them to doubt their potential. However I would highlight some values. Firstly, a budget is a financial statement which sets out estimates of business expenditure and revenues for the coming year. It is prepared by the management accountant in an organization. It is very useful to guide and measure of control for management decision process and provide a yardstick against which actual results can be compared with projected figures.
