If you are not familiar with the work of the efficiency engineer he is actually a Methods Analyst who studies the methodology that you are using in your operation. The EE (Efficiency Engineer) will make a layout of the breakpoints of the procedure and would come up with some changes for enhancement.
Usually the EE is called for a problematic procedure. In one instance for a logistics company the delivery is often late. The EE did some checking and later found out that the driver and his assistant would pass by their favorite coffee bar before proceeding to their destination. It is very simple but a good example. Obviously the solution is to issue a memo on the promptness of the delivery. With the CCTV in delivery trucks now that delay cannot happen anymore.
