The so called team building session is very popular here because some events organizers have shifted to team building activities. At first I was impressed by the term team building because I had been a manager and also a basketball coach. A team needs cooperation and coordination that I thought would be attained by the team building program that was being offered.
When I checked on the details I was shocked. The activities were like an athletic fest of exercise and parlor games. The participants are divided into teams to have a semblance of team building. But in the real sense the participants did not gain anything on the building of team spirit. They just got tired with the activities. I wonder if the managers could see such useless activity called team building programs.
