A lot of people who have little financial education and we are not fortunate enough to make as much money as they ordinarily would have expect to do , tend to put so much pressure on their children because they want their children to achieve those dreams which they themselves could not achieve during their time.
This is why I tend to create this thread so that we can discuss on some of these mistakes and why we should not try to repeat such mistakes in the future.
Some of these points are
- They make their children believe that certain courses are the sure way to being successful in the future only for the children to grow up and realise that things were not so and there are no such jobs like their parents made them to believe.
- They make their children to have so much hope on the government and do less to let them be able to become self-reliant and learn valuable skills that will enable them to depend on themselves only in the future.
- They do not allow their children to study in the same courses that they studied in the university. This is usually because they think that those courses are irrelevant and then they do not want their children to pass through the same thing, not knowing that opportunity school present for their children if they are allowed to follow their passion.
