Some problems that can affect small businesses is the risk this can be a problem because in a small business it is only the owner of the business that behaves the rings and sometimes it risk appears to be a burden and can be uncontrolled if the owner of the business is not skilled. And also political instability can affect the business this is because the problem that comes with political instability can be too much for the owner of a business to handle and this can lead to the close down or crumbling of the business. Political instability can lead to warfare between States even countries and when this happens the destruction of social amenities will take place and the business owner who find it difficult in managing the business without the social amenities. Small businesses are really vulnerable to any slight attacks that could happen

Just like big businesses, small businesses are faced with challenges and problems. Often, these are a little different but they are still there nonetheless. Here is a list of the most common small business challenges and how to overcome them:

  • Hiring. Middle class wages stagnant while tax cuts and increases in pension expenses have led to greater difficulty in hiring qualified people
  • Paying competitive salaries. Finding candidates that are qualified for jobs yet will work for lower pay than what positions pay elsewhere has been challenging recently
  • Raising capital. Small business owners are having difficulty obtaining loans from banks and other lending institutions
  • Lack of experience. Many businesses that have closed in the last few years were started by people who didn't know what they were doing. Finding someone with knowledge to make a business successful is difficult
  • Lack of drive. The number of businesses that just didn't work out for one reason or another is high, and the reasons vary
  • Inequities in tax rates. Small business owners pay higher taxes than large business owners on individual income tax, payroll taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, etc.

Every small scale business organisation are usually established and managed by small-scale business owners which possibly may not have the sufficient knowledge and training of actually managing and operating a business . This indeed is a problem because when a business owner does not have requisite experience and knowledge on how to manage and control a business he or she may not be successful in his own business . To be successful you need to be experienced and also you need to be knowledgeable about the kind of business you have established and one of the best way to do so is by having a requisite experience possibly via colleges of education are in commercial tertiary schools .

Also small-scale businesses today face the problem of financial facilitation agreement and expansion . The goal of every business owner is to expand his or her business but small scale businesses absolutely find it hard to do this as a result of poor or no financial revenue .
