There is a popular saying which goes as follows; 'money is the root of all evil.' But regardless of this fact why are people still making money ( a root of evil) and is this saying actually really true?

Some wealthy people use their money to live excessive lives which can threaten their health and well being. Money becomes a root of evil if not sought for and used rightly.

Affirmative yes money is important to our day to day life, without it we can't provide for our needs or want, but when money become a problem is when we want to do everything in our power to have this money it could be shedding of innocent blood, or spending all our time and effort trying to earn money, a family head for example need to spend time with his family at least have a form of communication but instead they spend all their time on work and other financial issue and it has cause many families to fall and lose their unity.

In the case of shedding innocent blood just to make money has become the order of the day. And what is worse in the part is that young children are practicing this evil method of making money. Money indeed helps, but making wise use of money would bring in satisfaction.

Personally, I believe that money is not the root the evil. Evil happens when people loose their morality. It all starts with greed for more money. So they start doing evil things just to earn the money.

You will find people who kill others just to get money. Or they do other bad things like kidnapping and robbing just to earn money. But if their morality was upright, they would be contented with the money they have and use good ways to earn more.

Your thread is very interesting indeed. I do believe that money is the root of all evil and I agree with everything you mention in your post. However, it is impossible to survive without money. This is our modern world. We need money every day in order to cover our needs and the needs of our family. Money is important in life but we must learn to use them wisely. Furthermore, it is significant to realize that money does not always bring happiness and that there are more important things in life than money like love, peace and health.

A lot of persons seems to be getting this totally wrong. Money is not the root of all evil, rather it is the love for money that is the root of all evil. If money where to be the root of all evil as most persons believe, then the bible won't tell us that he would teach us how to make profit. I don't see any reason why you should not be making money , the reason why money was said to be the root of all evil is because so many people are engaging in dangerous practices in the cost of trying to make money which is not the best because at the end it will have a harmful effects on humans in one way or the other.

That does not mean that you shouldn't make money legitimately , afterall money can be used to buy all the things we need and to take care of ourself medically and so many other benefits that comes with it.

Everybody makes money and everybody are interested to have money but we shouldn't look for opportunities to harm another party in the cost of trying to make money.
