For survival some of these basic need include food , shelter , clothings . etc . Spending money is addictive and a lot of people choose to spend money as a result of the high amount of income they earn from work some people choose to spend money as a result of pressure from others. whatever the case maybe it is important to always watch and not ignore your spending habits.

that is why it is advisable that money which are not for spending must be saved or rather be invested to acquire more money . People who have bad habit of spending money must first of all remember that their future is very crucial and just like unforeseen circumstances are unpredictable it is important to invest and save and only spend when you have to . Time is considered as a means of which money is earned and so wasting money on irrelevant spending shouldn't be a major priority of a reasonable and sensible individual but investment and savings should.

For a very long time in human history, people were not really using the physical money that we are presently using but instead they were doing trade by barter or using other forms of currency . This has really evolved over centuries of hard work and people have now come to the conclusion that they should have a central currency in which people can be able to use. But as long as we are still alive and we need food on daily basis, we needs clothes and shelter we will always spend our money in one way or the other because it is just a normal aspect in a living man's life.

However there are some people who spend less but there are also some people that spend much because they may not likely know how to control how much they are spending. Because of this a lot of people are always advised to try as much as possible to manage the little resources they have to make the best use of it than to spend excessively on things that are not really important , except you are capable of spending excessively because of High financial status , but even with that it is still not the best option.

You give out money and get value in return, that's how it works, where most people get it twisted is, they can't live within there means, they always want to appear rich and spend like the rich does, as a result of this mentality, they end up broke or just a salary away from being broke, no savings or investments.

If you don't live within your means you'll always be in debt and you'll never be satisfied with what you make.

To achieve financial independence you need to sacrifice a lot to investments and scalable business ventures, because that's the only true way to financial independence, I really don't think one can get rich off his salary, because your salary growth is linear and not exponential, your income can't grow *1000 in a year.

Most employees get 1.5% increase and that's after they ask for raise, but a scalable business can just spike up within months or years and it'll make the owners filthy rich, typical example of this is the zoom company.

Hmmm, there are a lot of reasons why we spend money, first I will to say money is the only thing that is generally accepted as a medium of exchange all over the world. And as humans we have several needs that needs to be met by us on a daily basis. Although all our needs has it roots to the three basic need of humans which are needs for food, shelter and clothing. Without satisfying this basic needs life will be a living hell for us here on planet earth. We will be living as salvages. I could remember a scholar who ones said life for man in the state of nature is so poor, short, brutish,and nasty. That is the basic truth because we will have nothing to coordination our thought process and it will take us a far back the era of trade by barter. It will be very difficult to quantify things and life would have been very hard. So when we look at it from that angle we will see that money is that money actually serves a lot of purpose in the life of man. It is even used as capital in starting a business.

The best thing to do would be to create a budget and a plan for your spending. List out your needs and wants, then place your important needs at the top of the list so you can attend to them first before anything else.
