Forest use companies are differential from all other companies in this industry for their
backward level of technology. They possess insufficient and inappropriate means for the
transportation of timber to sawmill.

Consequently, quantities produced by these companies do not meet the needs of sawmills and wood processors for raw material. In general, they operate during spring, summer, autumn, while in winter time they are inactive due to undeveloped infrastructure in forest areas to connect to national and rural roads. In addition, lack of proper technology hinders these companies to operate throughout the year.

Forest specialists consider wintertime to be the best season for forestry. During this season, trees
preserve their qualities and ensure a consistent quality during processing. Specialists do not
recommend exploitation of forests during spring and summer, because tree structure is
harmed and it does not ensure the quality of logs during processing.

This is one of the
reasons that wood products with domestic raw material are generally not of a high quality.
Therefore, when exported to international market, they are purchased at a lower price than
the same products of same tree origin.

Wood business is very profitable because there is no way you can use wood. I think wood business is a composite demand because it is demanded for because of other things you can derive from it. The only reason why the business is not the talk of the people is that it is a seasonal business. It is only thriving during wet seasons. Besides, there are many alternatives to what wood can do these days. Most people use plastic and iron now.

Wood is very useful as we use it for so many things. The usefulness of wood as made the business profitable because there is much demands for it. They use woods for building houses, for making furniture and so on. I still strongly believe wood business is still profitable because it uses are numerous.

Wood business is still very much profitable especially in developing countries. The population in these developing countries is ever increasing and as such, wood would be utilized to build furnitures, buildings and lots more. This would indeed generate a lot of revenue for individuals and also assist the economies of these developing countries. Also, looking at the industrial application, wood can be used to produce paper which can be used to package goods in the form of carton and all.

Wood will remain a product that has high demand because we use lumber for building and furniture. The main problem of wood farms is the distance of the trees to the road. In the olden days the logs are thrown into the river to let if float down the civilized part of the place. But now rivers are dry and the logs need to be cut for transport. The cost of production is very high.
