I don't think this is ever possible. You are surely going to be needing a mentor for your business. No matter how small it is, you need someone to guide you through it. The person who guides you is your mentor. You follow his ways and do the things that he asks you to do.
Also, your mentor does not necessarily have to be someone who you want to be like but you just need to be able to listen to the person and also follow whatever ways that he teaches you to make money.
I don't think a business will last longer if you do not have anyone to teach you about it or if you do not have someone who can guide you through how it works. You are just going to be doing the business with the little knowledge that you have and you may not do very well. You may also believe that you are doing well but you are not. You may not even progress because you do not know the gimmicks of the business so it is very important to have a mentor so that the person will guide you to know how to run the business well.
