Any business that involves offering of services can actually give you immediate profit provided you know what you are doing.
In grocery you are actually trying to provide the service by offering grocery products to people. So such a business can actually make you some good amount of profit if you put the right things into place.

The truth is that you cannot actually become very successful in a business because it requires a lot of time and consistency for you to be able to set it up in order to make you consistent income.
