I think there are some business owners that always have some potential customers before they start the business. It is either they have created an awareness or they know people who will be interested in buying their products so they will not need to stress themselves to get customers when they start their business. This is a normal thing that a lot of people do so that they can be making something from their business immediately they start it.

At the same time, it is very possible to start a business even when you do not have any customers. There are some business people who do not have any customer at all and they are doing very well. Business is just a matter of time. You are surely going to succeed if you can invest your time in it and if you can be dedicated.

It is a good thing to have some potential customers before you start your business but it is not a must to do that. The right tactics and the right advertisement will help you to gain customers.

So it is very important to be able to advertise well and also treat customers nicely. It will help new business.

I think it's very normal to start a business without customer's. Most people tend to have no single customer when starting their own businesses..
However we have seen the business booming despite of that.
I suppose people can start off the businesses and could get the customers after the launch of the business.
I have once started the business without a single customer and then the business boomed so much that people would be heard talking about it.
You can as well start your business without any customer and use the traditional ways for advertising marketing for your business and soon you would get more customers.

I think one of the greatest mistakes that some business owners make is by not doing proper advertisement and not being consistent because I don't think there is a way you will be consistent with the business and you will not get good results even though it may take a lot of time. It may as well be tiring if you are doing something and you are not getting good results from it. You will want to stop it.

Starting a business without customers is one of the most common things when it comes to business so you just depend on how fast you can gain customers with the knowledge that you have about the business.
