I do not see gambling as an investment because looking at the definition of investment it is anything that we committed our money into to earn a certain percentage return after a certain period of time. Base of this definition investment was not something that present a very high possibility of losing even though it could be risky.

Gambling in the other hand is a situation in which a person Risk his or her money on something ( complex games ) to win a very high return on investment within a short period of time . In this case the possibility of losing is always very high and a very high return on investment are always being made within a short period of time usually with a smaller capital .

From this definition we shouldn't be confused or be carried away to think that gambling is an investment, it is not an investment , it is called gambling
