Insurance firms take great pains to avoid paying on claims that they are aware are most likely to fail. They frequently do this in order to make sure you aren't claiming more than your policy permits. Some of these inquiries might be:

1) Have you ever been in an accident before?

2) How far do you travel annually?

3) Does your driving history contain anything that might implicate you in an accident?

4) Have you ever experienced a hit-and-run collision? (In this scenario, it's unlikely that you could obtain coverage.)
