How to sell yourself during internship

The internship period is when one is on a little training or assisting in a company without pay but you hope to work there afterwards. The internship is the period to sell yourself high. Some Bosses or employers do also assess a potential worker during the period of internship to ascertain if such a person should be retain afterwards or not.

Well, if you think of staying put with a work place after an internship period then you should do the following:

1.Start by keeping to time and be at your desk when you are supposed to be. You can be earlier than that but not late.

2. Be teachable and be a fast learner: Yes you are there to learn about the job but you shouldn't be slow in catching up. Don't keep repeating a thing you have been told to avoid doing. This will help the employer notice you easily.

3. Don't exhibit any criminal trait; This is one habit that would even kick you out of the workplace even before the end of the internship. So you would need to avoid getting yourself involve in any criminal activities.

4. Be friendly to all and learn from them: You might have met other workers already. So try to be friendly with everyone while learning in the process.

What do you think?

Internships are a great way to gain practical experience in your field, but they can also be a great opportunity for you to make a name for yourself. Here are three ways you can use your internship to secure a job after it's over.

1. Find out what the company needs
When you're looking for an internship, try to find one that will give you the opportunity to work on projects that align with the company's goals and objectives. That way, when they see what you've been able to accomplish in the time period of your internship, they'll be impressed by both your hard work and your ability to think critically about how your skills can help them achieve their goals.

2. Learn everything about the product or service offerings
The best way not only to impress your supervisors but also to make yourself indispensable is by learning as much about their products or services as possible, and then using that information to show how well you understand what makes them tick (and why). For example: if there's an aspect of their website that isn't working well, offer up some suggestions on how it might be fixed (and then follow through).

Well written, you got them right internship is a good period and the right time to sell your self high especially if you are looking at working with the place of work after the internship period. You can't behave badly during the internship period and wants to be retain afterwards. No body will want to jeopardize their hard earned efforts for an intern infact you might even be kicked out before time

internship is the right time to show the company how valuable you would be if you are an addition to the company. You want to make money from the company because you would start getting paid so you should behsve in a way that money will arrive at the company's account almost everyday.

This is more of a case of give and take. You bring in vslue which translate into money for the company and the company will then pay you your token as salary from there and the circle continues. So an intern must try to be selfless assist in everywhere one can and be a good fit for any position you would be placed in. Any good boss or employer will see the traits and want to have such a person for a long time.

It's the middle of your internship and you’re not sure whether or not to ask for a full-time position. Maybe you were asked to apply, but you don’t know how to sell yourself and get retained during the internship process.

Here are some tips:
1. Establish rapport with your supervisor. Your supervisor is likely the person who makes the final decision on hiring decisions, so it's important that they see you as a valuable asset. This can be done through showing up on time every day, being prepared for meetings, and actively listening during conversations.

2. Show initiative by coming up with ideas for projects or tasks that need to be completed in your department. If there are new processes or programs being launched in your company, offer your help in implementing them. This shows that you're not just looking for a paycheck (which is exactly what interns are looking for!) but instead want to learn more about how things work behind-the-scenes at this company so that someday when you're hired full-time, you'll be able to contribute even more than someone who came straight out of school with no experience whatsoever.

Internship is the best time a potential worker can showcase himself to the workplace he wants to work with. There are many ways people can sell themselves and many of them have already being fully explained by the posters above me.

Getting familiar with the management is the first step I will like to explain. This will surely send a signal to the management that you truly want to associate yourself with the company. Showing ourselves may involve having a personal relationship with the top workers there. And even seeing ourselves as workers in the organisation.

Another thing to do after that is to do some background checking on the organisation. This will enable us to know more about the company. The dos and don'ts of the organisation will be known. We can either do this by searching some information on internet about the organization or we try to find out through workers there.

As someone had rightly said above, it is impertinent to make sure we contribute positively to the organization. We need to try to make sure that we do all we can do to make sure our impacts are Felt. This will convince the management to hire us as workers in the organisation.
