Older people are mostly at risk of developing high blood pressure, sometimes it could be as a result of stress but I don't know if high blood pressure has anything to do with the genetic factors of an individual ,but stress is always the main causes of high blood pressure that is why after a certain age we really have to be careful in some of the things we do and not to engage in serious activities that might increase the stress level in us.. constant monitoring of blood pressure is very important and also our diet contribute to 75% of our health.
