Driving a school shuttle for occupation of a retiree

There are more than several schools inside our village, some grade school and most are high school. I have noticed that drivers of school shuttle are seniors and I have yet to see one driver who is younger. One driver said that being retired is not easy when you have nothing to do so he used his own van to transport the students from their homes to the school. The service fee is not much but just enough for his daily needs.

That driver looks contented and happy because he treats the students like his own relatives that sometimes he treats the kids to ice cream or soda.
It is clear that retired people need something to do. And doing that something is better when you earn some money. For me, I am still enjoying the coins that I earn from working online. Driving kids to school is not on my menu yet.
