The creator of the Polkadot (DOT) cryptocurrency, Gavin Wood openly offered $5 million in aid to Ukraine; the Ukrainian authority tweeted about DOT acceptance since that help was to be sent in DOT cryptocurrency.

The government of Ukraine immediately opened its official (legitimate) DOT wallet and requested for airdrop by tweeting address.

Within a few hours, the donation sent by Gavin Wood reached in that wallet, and the Ukrainian authority also expressed its gratitude towards Woods by tweeting it.

Since the DOT address was tweeted by Ukraine, many other DOT HODLers also donated to Ukraine by sending donations to that wallet.

The Government of Ukraine will use the value of those received DOTs in legal way which are accepted in the Emergency situation. It will be used for the purchase and sale of goods and services by government in the market, salary of government employees, pension of retirees, or any other use.

No matter in what way Government of Ukraine is going to use DOT, it's legal there for the same purpose.
