although a sole proprietor do have a lot of advantages but on the other hand it has its demerits or disadvantages.
is sole proprietor is a risk taker and he will only bear the consequences that is when the business is being affected he will bear the consequences alone and sometimes it will be a difficult task for him to handle such a situation because he is the only one that was such a business.

as they say two heads are better than one so therefore the decisions a sole proprietor could make might not be effective at that moment and wrong decisions could have wrong outcomes but when a business is being partnered the decision-making being made on particular issue in such a business will be reasonable and sometimes effective.

most times as a sole proprietor the capital you will use in setting up a business might be small as you being the only person starting up the business but when the business is being partnered capital needed in starting up a particular business and be high and thus lead to higher productivity

And also in a sole proprietorship business the community of a business after the owner of such a business has die is impossible because the businessman also there with him especially when there is no successor to take over from him

While being self-employed can be very rewarding, it comes with its fair share of drawbacks. One of the most significant is having to pay your own taxes. The money that you make from your company is not subject to the same deductions that a traditional business has since it is considered "pass through income." Your business will still have to pay taxes on its profit, but for reasons like this, the deductions a sole proprietor takes may be significantly less than what you would incur on a traditional job.

Prepare for the inevitable increases in payroll taxes

The cost of living is constantly on the rise and so, too, is the cost of hiring employees. As businesses grow, they must constantly hire more employees to maintain the level of output at which they are operating. This means that you will have to increase your payrolls along with your levels of expenses in order keep up with costs. When this extra expense takes place, you should be prepared to see a significant increase in your annual payroll tax liability.

Planning and keeping track of your business can be difficult. Doing so properly can help you avoid financial pitfalls and enjoy the substantial advantages that a self-employed business is known to provide.

Sole proprietorship is the most common type of business we have. Sole proprietorship is common because it is very easy to form.
Sole proprietorship has different kind of disadvantages that are discuss below;
1) Difficult to get finance; Because of the nature of the business, sole proprietorship has challenges in getting access to bigger capital or loan. The financial institutions are ready to partner with a limited liability company compare to a sole proprietorship.
2) Risk taker; In sole proprietorship, the owner takes the risk of the business alone. He bear all the losses that might happen to the business compare to other form of business where the risk is been share among partners.
3). Problem of continuity; Since sole proprietorship is a one man business it will be difficult to continue the business if anything happen to the owner of the business.
Sole proprietorship is one man idea, it will be very hard to continue with his or her idea if the owner is death. Most time the idea of the business die with the owner of the business compare to other forms of business where there are other partners who can continue with the business even after the death of one of the partner.

Sole proprietorship has many disadvantages. Though, it's most common type of business in most part of the world, it has alot demerits which discourage some people from going into it.
For instance in sole, the stress that the owner face is too much. From managing staff, to auditing of account, attending seminar, and business registration process. The stress involved in business registration process is what discourage many people. Sole proprietorship has a lot of stress.

Yes I agree with all your points and I think sole proprietorship may have disadvantages at some point even though it is unavoidable at some instances.

Part of the disadvantages is that you may be unable to fund the business alone and you will run into loan collection which will have been avoidable if you were not running on a sole proprietorship basis.

At some point of decision making you may be in need of advise and support as you have mentioned and lack of a partner may mean taking decisions alone which may have deragatory effects if they are not effective decisions which you took personally.

As a sole proprietor, you also have to perform all business operations independently which may be stressful and less efficient.

The most outstanding problem of being a sole proprietor is the issue if small capital. Even if your business is one that needs you expanding after a while of establishing it, it might not happen because you do not have other partners to contribute to the capital needed
Another disadvantage is the issue of taking decision alone. This is where the issue of having a business partners come in. if you have a business partner you would be able to take decision with the person this where the phrase two head are better then one comes in.

So with sole proprietorship it is the decision you take that will play out. you make good decisions then you would have things turn around, you make a bad one and things turn bad then you have the yourself to blame.

Even with profit and loss of the business, if You have profit you eat alone and the loss you bear alone
