Having your own vehicle for short trips is better than taking the public transport that can cause you to be infected with covid. The issue of the electric bikes and scooters is the battery. You have to charge it for 8 hours (usually overnight) and you can run for 50 kilometers. I think this depends on your location. In my town, there are not many electric bikes and scooters. There are dozens of dealers for petrol-powered bikes and scooters but just one or two dealers for electric bikes and scooters, which means very few people are using electric bikes. Before you invest, do a marketb reserch.

Before you start a business in this line, make sure to do a research and find out if there are many people using electric bikes and scooters, once you do customer segmentation, check your competitor and see if there is stiff competition. If there are many customers and if competition is not fierce, you are good to go.

Although you actually still have to consider the location before making the movement of starting the business ,check if the sale of battery is actually more in that particular area ,if it's more you could get more demand and more bike scooter to patronise you in the business dealings too
