Hoarding or Billboard is a traditional means of advertising a product on busy public places, this method is still considered a good tool due to its capability of not allowing any option and brand awareness.

No Other Option-
On TV, people have the option to change the channel as soon as the commercial starts. On the Internet, people change the network or page at their own free will. They have the option to ignore the advertisement. But the hoarding will remain where it is, and will certainly be visible to those passing by.

"Brand Awareness"
Hoardings are strategically placed on busy roads, which are usually regular routes for passers-by. People will visit the same billboard during their route, especially if there are multiple billboards of the same advertisement in different locations along their travel route. Therefore, within a few days, those brands are remembered by them unknowingly. Thus, hoardings definitely increase brand awareness.
